These Women are Dope Series. Featuring Laura

Welcome back to the “These Women are Dope!” Series! I’m so glad you’re here!

I am super excited to introduce y’all to one of my childhood friends, Laura Delk! Laura and I have literally been friends since the early 2000s! (Phew!) We are KCA - Cheer Tigers, Bryan Station Middle School Cheer AND we also went to the same high school (go devils) and college! Laura has always been a real one. We do not talk every day but whenever we do get the chance to catch back up (typically via FaceTime) we pick up right where we left off. She is an amazing friend, wife, and mom. God knew exactly what he was doing when he linked us together all those years ago.

Word of advice for readers: Find you a Laura. What I mean is… surround yourself with people who LIFT. YOU. UP.

Ok, let’s go!

Laura Delk

Hometown: Lexington, KY (Go Big Blue)

Occupation: SAHM/WFHM

I’m Laura! I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, and a child of God! I am originally from Lexington, KY where I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors degree in Communication. In 2018 I moved with my family to Indiana, then to Ohio. There have been many changes over the years but the one thing that stays consistent is the love and support of my family to keep me going. I enjoy taking family vacations, homeschooling my kindergartner, and working on my health and fitness.

What is your why?

My why is my family. They are my backbone and always know what to say to keep me going.

What brings you joy?

The sounds of my kids laughter. Time really does fly by. I love hearing them play, laugh, and run around, and just see pure joy in their eyes. THAT brings ME joy.

What has been your favorite project so far?

I have really been working on my fitness and health journey and I am impressed with how far I've come. Your health and what you put in your body is so important. You need to fuel your body with food that supports it and makes it stronger!

What is your motto or personal mantra?

Don't worry about anything, but instead pray about everything. Phil 4:6 (* a message * )

Every time I was worried about something and thought it wouldn't work out, I prayed and God always made a way. ALWAYS!

“Be yourself! Everyone else is already taken.” :)

- Laura Delk

Thank you Laura for ALWAYS ALWAYS being you. I love you, sis. #youbelonghere

More to come this week!
